SPS Team Information Sisters List

Why do we have Big sister/Little Sisters? This is one of the best things about the St. Paul Stars. Each younger swimmer is matched to an older swimmer as a “Sister.” The Sisters help and encourage each other throughout the year at meets. Big and Little Sister connections help to build team spirit. Before meets, they give each other special cards or small gifts as encouragement. Because so many of the girls are also so talented OUT of the water, we are encouraging sisters to exchange home-made gifts or cards before the big meets. A special box will be placed at the pool that will contain ideas, “star craft” supplies and card making ideas. Please help yourself to one of the craft ideas, complete the craft and give it to your big sister before the big meet!

What kind of activities will we do? Other than the usual fun “after practice” snacks and treats, we are hoping to come up with some “fun days” for the Big sister/Little sister’s. If you have any ideas that you would like to share, please write them on the attached form.

What can I do to be an awesome big sister or little sister? Be yourself and share your love for swimming with your sister. If you find out something special (or funny!) about your sister, email our webmaster and she will post it on the website under “SPS Big/Little Sisters.” She also would love pictures.

All Big Sister/Little Sister communication will be printed on pink paper and placed in your swimming folders. Have a great year!
